Truck load capacity and DIBt® approval

The DRAINMAX tunnel trench was the first in Germany to receive building authority approval from the German Institute for Building Technology. The long-term load-bearing capacity of the DRAINMAX system has been proven for an operating period of at least 50 years. This benefits planners, builders, processors and dealers alike.

The geometry of the tunnel has been used in numerous structures since ancient times. INTEWA also uses the advantages of tunnel geometry to meet the highest stability requirements with the DRAINMAX tunnel made of recyclable HDPE plastic.

To achieve this, in addition to numerous installation tests in practice, elaborate quality and load tests were carried out at the Gesellschaft für Materialforschung und Prüfungsanstalt für das Bauwesen. In addition to material quality and short-term strength, these tests also examine and monitor the long-term strength of the component. The DIBt approval for the DRAINMAX tunnel infiltration trench 60 means maximum safety and proof of quality for dealers, planners, construction companies and operators.

For applications where a traffic load of truck 12 (8.0 t axle load) is sufficient, we offer the DRAINMAX tunnel 12.
