AQUALOOP

Description

The MEM / Aqualoop pilot plants are built directly on the premises of RHV Salzburg, the municipal sewage treatment plant for Salzburg and the surrounding area in Siggerwiesen. The municipal wastewater treatment plant operates according to the state of the art and is a fully biological treatment plant with a capacity of 680,000 population equivalents. The plant offers the ideal infrastructure for the pilot tests to optimize membrane bioreactors and to carry out other filtration tests of any kind. An accredited central laboratory is also located on site, which is available for the detailed analysis of raw and pure water according to ÖNORM.

Two membrane lines operate in parallel in a partial flow of up to 10 m³/day. The tests run all year round. The pilot plants are equipped with the latest apparatus and measuring technology and run fully automatically with SCADA and online data acquisition. Data interpretation and access to the control system is also possible via UMTS modem.
