Description

With an area of around 209 hectares, Germany's largest solar park was built in the Barnim district in Brandenburg in 2020. With an output of 187MW, this is the first large-scale PV project without EEG funding.
After a good 10 years of planning, a project has been realized here that, in purely mathematical terms, can supply around 50,000 households with environmentally friendly energy.
In order to have enough extinguishing water available in the event of a fire, 4 GRP extinguishing water storage tanks, each with a storage volume of 100m³, were installed. This amount is necessary primarily because the property is somewhat remote and thus there is no hydrant in the immediate vicinity.
