Description

Especially in the eastern part of Germany, fire hazards have increased in recent years due to long dry periods. Good preparation in terms of firefighting water supply is therefore essential. This is precisely where the municipality of Teutschenthal, located in Saxony-Anhalt, came in. It is one of the larger localities in the Saale district and has a population of just under 13,000. Among other things, the provision of firefighting water throughout the associated local area is one of the municipality's tasks.

For this purpose, three new 100 m³ extinguishing water tanks were installed in spring 2022. As the construction sites are located in different parts of the town, one challenge for the project team was to adapt the specifications of the tanks to the different groundwater levels. Other situations that arose or needed clarification were discussed in online meetings, including why a monolithic fiberglass-reinforced plastic tank was the most optimal and cost-effective long-term solution. Due to the smooth project flow, the three tanks were delivered within a few weeks of each other and were thus quickly ready for any emergencies that might arise.

Written by the customer (translated from German)

"We are very pleased to give feedback on the 3 delivered installed fire fighting water tanks from the company INTEWA. After obtaining a quotation, the company INTEWA fulfilled all the requirements set by the municipality of Teutschenthal. This concerned the price-performance ratio, communication, accessibility and customer support. In the case of particularly difficult complex issues, a video conference was held so that all points of view could be examined. [...]
