Combined rainwater and greywater harvesting

There are good reasons for rainwater as well as greywater harvesting. A combination of both techniques is a good idea if your building's service water demand is greater than the sources of rainwater and greywater can provide individually.

Collect your own rainwater from your roof surfaces, treat it to service water quality and recycle this runoff water from hand basins, showers or washing machines for your toilet flushing and irrigation. Once rainwater is no longer available, replenish with treated greywater. If this is also no longer available, the system switches to city water. With a combined solution of rainwater and greywater harvesting you are able to save twice the costs of drinking water and wastewater.
