Description

The Plitvice Lakes are the largest and oldest national park in the Republic of Croatia. Thanks to its exceptional natural beauty, this area attracted nature lovers from an early age and was declared Croatia's first national park in 1949.

Three new guesthouses for seasonal workers were built near this water-rich tourist magnet in 2022. Due to the remote region, all guesthouses are equipped with their own small sewage treatment plant.  In order to save valuable drinking water, the wastewater from these treatment plants was additionally treated with AQUALOOP technology so that it can now be reused for irrigation or seeped away without hesitation.

In total, the three buildings treat 1 x 1.8m³ and 2 x 1.2m³ of water per day.
