Description

The newly built apartment buildings in Wildau reflect a successful integration of modern real estate within an existing residential complex.
In terms of sustainable solutions in dealing with nature, an infiltration trench is used in addition to a green roof on all buildings.
The rainwater from the roofs and the entire property is collected in a DRAINMAX tunnel infiltration system and gradually infiltrated. The superstructures of the paved pathways and driveways have been specially designed to be permeable to water and air. The soil, which consists mainly of silty sand, is particularly suitable for this application. The existing groundwater level of 6 m below the surface also favours rapid infiltration. Arranged in two rows, the 18 DRAINMAX tunnel elements thus provide an infiltration volume of 42m³.
Especially for a place like Wildau, with an annual precipitation of about 677mm, these systems offer a higher level of safety for the entire property in terms of water damage due to flooding.
In addition to the good connection to Berlin, this increases the long-term value of this property.
